Sales Room: Open Every Saturday of the month. 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This serves the community by providing good used clothing and household items at low prices. Free items are supplied to the needy. Volunteers from the community and UMW staff the Sales room, and the money is used for MFCC budget for other programs.
Senior Activities Project: Seasoned Citizens meet at the Center each second and third Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. They socialize and enjoy games such as bingo.
Building Use: Many community parties and meetings, such as birthday parties, are scheduled in our Colorado Hall. A rental fee is charged.
Senior Community Craft Group Second Wednesdays 9:30 am - 11:30 am.
Central Texas Food Bank/Mobile Pantry Second Tuesdays 8:00 am - 11:00 am
The Miles Scholarship is a program of Montopolis Friendship Community Center and is named in honor of the late Velma and Bob Miles. Mr. Miles was Austin’s Chief of Police for many years. He and Mrs. Miles helped to create the Montopolis Friendship Community Center more than 60 years ago.
Miles Scholarships are made possible by contributions from a variety of sources – United Methodist Churches, UMW units and individual donors.
The Scholarships are awarded to high school students who live in the Montopolis neighborhood.
